Hit And Run Victim On I-70 Identified, Troopers Search For Driver

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - The Colorado State Patrol has identified the man struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Interstate 70 Wednesday night.

Troopers say Gavin Brouillette crashed into a guard rail near mile marker 130 in Glenwood Canyon in the eastbound lanes of I-70. They say Brouillette, 20, got out of his wrecked vehicle and then was struck by another driver.

Brouillette died at the scene.

Eastbound lanes of the interstate were closed for more than five hours overnight as investigators collected evidence.

Troopers say they have no information about the vehicle that left the scene of the crash at this time and anyone with information should contact their local police department.
