The museum was involved in the setup of the Follow Your Fruit & Veggies Journey. It's a month-long trek around the state. The museum describes it as follows:

From Aug. 1-31, the folks of Colorado Proud will trek across Colorado's agricultural landscape to explore the lifecycle of local produce and bridge the gap between farm and table -- visiting farms, grocery stores, farmers markets, festivals, schools and other community events, with "seeds" of information about Colorado-grown fruits and veggies. The Journey will stop in agricultural communities, from Grand Junction, Fort Collins, Durango, Frisco to Colorado Springs, Yuma and others.
