Highlands Ranch Neighborhood Wants To Stop C-470 Expansion

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A neighborhood group is trying to stop the expansion of C-470. The Highlands Ranch Neighborhood Coalition is taking the Federal Highway Administration and Colorado Department of Transportation to court.
The homeowners filed a lawsuit claiming the study done to see what impact all the noise would bring to the neighborhood is flawed. They want the project stopped.
CDOT is working to widen C-470 from I-25 to Kipling Parkway. Construction is set to begin this summer.
