New Radio Tower Will Be Painted Like The Golden Gate Bridge

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4)- Highlands Ranch is getting a new radio communications tower that will be painted the same color as the Golden Gate Bridge.

Douglas County officials say the project has been in the works for 10 years.

The tower is an effort to improve public safety radio coverage by more than 300 percent.

The tower will stand 150 feet tall and will be painted the same color orange as the Golden Gate Bridge.
