High Avalanche Danger Has Counties Doing Their Own Mitigation

OPHIR, Colo. (CBS4) - Avalanches are always a concern this time of year in Colorado, and that has many counties busy doing their own mitigation work.

Crews triggered a slide in Ophir in San Miguel County Tuesday morning.

Avalanche danger is considerable there in the San Juan Mountains as well as in Aspen, Gunnison, Vail and Summit County.
