Hickenlooper, Cadets Join In Day Of Service

CANON CITY, Colo. (AP) - Coloradans are being asked to mark the anniversary of last year's flooding with a day of service.

Gov. John Hickenlooper will be being joining in various service projects in Manitou Springs, Evans, Loveland and Longmont on Saturday. He'll end the day in Lyons at a flood relief fundraiser sponsored by Oskar Blues Brewery.

Dozens of Air Force Academy cadets and airmen plan to work on two separate fire and flood mitigation projects in Black Forest and Woodland Park.

In Golden, more than 400 volunteers will be helping elderly, low-income and disabled residents with home repairs.
