Heavy Rain, Golf Ball Hail Hit Parts Of Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Colorado Springs and other parts of southeastern Colorado could be in for more severe thunderstorms Friday.

Heavy rain and hail as big as golf balls hit parts of the Colorado Springs area Thursday night. Firefighters warned people to stay inside because of flooding and hail that piled up like snow in some areas.

They also put out a house fire that was started by a lightning strike.
