Hazardous Materials Investigation At Social Security Office In Lakewood
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- Several firetrucks and hazardous materials vehicles, along with a decontamination tent after a suspicious package was found inside the Social Security Office in Lakewood on Thursday afternoon.
Copter4 flew over the building at 13151 W. Alameda Ave. where the big blue decontamination tent was set up.
The hazmat crews were called in after a suspicious package was found inside the building.
Three people were put through the decontamination tent. Officials say after extensive investigation, no threat was found.
Other employees were kept in a safe place inside the building for about an hour during the investigation. No one was hurt.
