Hail Piles Up, Causes Major Damage After Storm

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- Some people who live in Colorado Springs continued to clean up Tuesday evening after a hail storm hit on Monday afternoon.

The storm brought flooding and hail that could be measured in feet. Some drivers were stranded in the flood waters.

"The door blew open and the water came in and my feet went out from underneath me," said one resident.

"I wasn't expecting broken doors," said another.

The hail was still piled up more than 24 hours after the storm hit. Residents used 5-gallon buckets to scoop up the hail from inside their homes and toss it outside.

Insurance companies continued to assess the damage.
