Guns, Ammo Stolen From Armored Truck In Hotel Parking Lot

DENVER (CBS4) - Police are searching for missing guns stolen from an armored truck sometime before Thursday morning.

The theft happened at the Ramada Plaza Hotel near the Mousetrap.

Police have not named any suspects at this point and very little information is known about who broke into the armored truck while guests slept inside the hotel.

Denver police say they're not sure what time exactly the theft happened but do know the armored truck was broken into sometime overnight.

Police were called to the scene when it was discovered two shotguns and ammunition were stolen from the truck.

Police have not said what type of armored vehicle was parked in the lot, or why it was at the hotel.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious at the Ramada Plaza Hotel is asked to call Denver police.
