Search For Cliff Diver Ends In Body Recovery

SUMMIT COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A man has died while cliff diving in green mountain reservoir in Summit County.

Investigators say the man was part of a group that rented a pontoon boat on Tuesday.

They were camping in the area when the man jumped from a cliff. He never resurfaced.

Searchers later found the man's body nearly 70 feet below the surface.

"We don't encourage people to go up there, it's all over the internet on YouTube... It's not a good place or a safe place to go recreate," Sheriff Jaime Fitzsimons of the Summit County Sheriff's Department said.

The coroner's office reports the man was from Oklahoma, but lived in Denver.
