Grass Fire Near Loveland Under Control Before It Could Threaten Homes

LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) - Crews quickly got control of a grass fire near Loveland that could have threatened homes.

The fire that broke out Wednesday morning near the Marianna Butte Golf Course was cresting a hill and could have headed towards homes.

Loveland Fire Rescue got help from the Poudre and Berthoud fire department battling the fire.

Within first 30 minutes the 1,8 acre fire was 75 percent contained.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No people were injured and no structures were damaged.
