Grass Fire Burning Along I-25 And E-470

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4)- Fire crews battled a fire burning in a field along Interstate 25 and E-470 on Tuesday afternoon that created a lot of smoke.

Copter4 flew over the fire just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday where it was burning in a field. The flames were sending up a lot of black smoke.

Westminster and North Metro Fire Rescue crews were assisting Broomfield firefighters.

It is unclear how the fire started. It didn't seem to be threatening any structures.
