Grass Fire Breaks Out Near Brighton

BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4) – Firefighters were battling a grass fire burning near Brighton on Sunday.

The blaze broke out at approximately 3 p.m. along Highway 85 between Brighton and Fort Lupton.

The fire was estimated at 5 acres in size.

Numerous out-buildings were threatened but none were damaged.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
