Gov. Hickenlooper Ready For N.C. To Make Good On Bet
DENVER (CBS4)- Gov. John Hickenlooper is happy the Broncos won Super Bowl 50 because otherwise he would be sporting a unique hair color and would not be attending the Broncos rally on Tuesday.
Hickenlooper talked to CBS4's Jamie Leary on the CBS4 Morning News about the bet he made with North Carolina's governor and how the homeless will benefit.
"I made a bet with Gov. Pat McCrory of North Carolina that I would have had to dye my hair powder blue if we lost. Thank God the Broncos won! The Broncos came through, but he's going to have to take my jersey, my Broncos jersey and wear it in the state Capitol for a day and he's also going to have to wear an Orange Crush earring for a day plus they're sending 100 cases of turkey burgers and turkey sausage to our homeless shelters and a little dog food for the canines that are in our shelters as well," said Hickenlooper.
