Light Rail Service Stopped After Train Hits Person

GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - A section of light rail was closed in Golden Wednesday evening after a collision between a light rail train and a person.
Officials with RTD said the person was trespassing on the elevated part of the track near 6th Avenue and West Colfax Avenue. They said the operators of the W Line train hit the brakes when they saw the person.
The person who was struck was alert when emergency crews arrived. The name and gender of that person haven't been released. He or she was taken to the hospital.
