Goats and chickens die in chicken coop fire in Adams County

Three goats and several chickens died in a fire at a chicken coop in Adams County. The fire broke out in the 1500 block of East 73rd Avenue on Thursday.

When crews with Adams County Fire Rescue arrived, they found a tree and an outdoor shed/chicken coop engulfed in flames. Unfortunately, three goats and several chickens died in the fire. 

Adams County Fire Rescue crews saved a goat by giving it oxygen. Adams County Fire Rescue

Crews were able to save a baby goat by supplying oxygen. 

What caused the fire is being investigated.
