Go Underwater With West Metro Firefighters For Training

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- West Metro Fire and Rescue crews took a camera with them during Tuesday's underwater training session.

Divers plunged into the freezing water below six inches of ice at Big Soda Lake in Bear Creek State Park.

Divers tested the ice above their heads.

Crews from West Metro also joined crews from South Metro, Thornton and Westminster.

Those firefighters get called out to search for everything from dogs in the water to checking abandoned cars submerged in urban waterways.
