Glider Pilots To Compete At Air Force Academy This Weekend

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) — About 30 glider pilots are expected to compete in an aerial acrobatics competition at the Air Force Academy.

The Ben Lowell Aerial Confrontation runs Friday through Sunday at the school outside Colorado Springs.

The competition will take place above the 28-square-mile campus, but the school says flying activity will be noticeable as competitors arrive Friday and depart Sunday.

School officials say the event is closed to the public.
