Dozens Protest Plans For Music Festival In Buena Vista

By Matt Kroschel

BUENA VISTA, Colo. (CBS4) - On Tuesday commissioners heard from dozens of protesters upset over plans to allow a property owner to hold a massive music festival in Buena Vista this summer.

Tuesday's meeting was moved to accommodate the large crowd.

Chaffee County commissioners did not make a decision but will took a walk around the proposed site on Tuesday.

Concerns over local river safety, traffic, and a lack of available infrastructure have been raised by a community members in Buena Vista and other local officials in emergency services.

Neighbors living near the field where the owner wants to allow 20,000 ticket holders to come and camp have formed a Facebook group and told CBS4 they will continue their fight of this plan.
