Full Containment Reached On Cold Springs Fire

NEDERLAND, Colo. (CBS4/AP) — Firefighters have fully contained a wildfire that destroyed eight homes near Nederland.

The last remaining evacuees of the Cold Springs Fire in Boulder County are now being allowed to return home.

Two men accused of accidentally starting the fire by not fully extinguishing their campfire were charged Wednesday with fourth degree arson. It carries a penalty of up to 12 years in prison.

In southern Colorado, people are still evacuated because of the Hayden Pass Fire burning near Coaldale. New fires are also burning in the Durango area and in Eagle County near Sylvan Lake State Park.
