Fountain Police Officers Involved In Shooting

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (AP) — An investigation is underway after police officers responding to a disturbance in Fountain were involved in a shooting.

Sgt. Jess Freeman says officers were called to the disturbance near Fountain Mesa Elementary School in the northern part of the city at about 2:40 p.m. Thursday. Freeman did not say what led to the shooting or how many officers were involved.

The condition of the person who was shot was not immediately known.

No other information has been released.
