Deadly Train Collision With Pedestrian Investigated In Fort Collins
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Fort Collins investigated a deadly train collision with a pedestrian on Thursday afternoon. The collision happened in the area of Mason and Mulberry.
This was a fatal train vs pedestrian collision. The Fort Collins Police CRASH team has responded and is investigating. Mason is blocked from Magnolia through Prospect. Expected closure 4+ hours. Will update when open again.

According to police in Fort Collins, the train was blocking all east-west traffic south to Prospect for several hours. The area reopened just before 9 p.m.
Investigators have cleared the scene along Mason Street and the train is no longer blocking traffic. Thanks for your patience!

The pedestrian has not been identified. What happened leading up to the crash is being investigated.
