Fort Collins Police Hope Neighbors Can Help Solve Armed Robberies

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Fort Collins hope neighbors can help them solve two armed robberies that happened early Thursday morning.

The first incident happened about 1:16 a.m. Thursday. Fort Collins 911 received a call about an armed robbery in the 1400 block of West Plum Street. Two male victims told police they had been walking when a suspect approached them, threatened them with a gun and stole several of their personal items. The suspect then ran away. The victims were not injured.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned white male in his 20s, approximately 5-foot-7, wearing a black hat, black shirt and black pants.

The second incident happened about two-and-a-half hours later in a business located in the 3000 block of West Prospect Road. A female employee told police that a male suspect pointed a gun at her and demanded money. After robbing the store, the suspect ran away. The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with curly black hair, acne on his face, about 5-foot-5, 160-175 pounds. He was wearing a black beanie, black short sleeve shirt over a white long sleeve shirt with black gloves and blue jeans.
