Fort Collins Officer On Leave After Firing At A Suspect

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4) - A Fort Collins police officer is on leave after shooting at a suspect Tuesday morning.

Someone called 911 saying they heard what sounded like an explosion at an apartment in the 1000 block of Oxford Lane. When the officer arrived the suspect opened the door and had a weapon.

The officer fired his gun but nobody was hit. He then took the suspect into custody.

The names of the officer and suspect haven't been released.
