Fort Carson Soldiers Returning From Afghanistan

FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) — About 90 Fort Carson soldiers are set to return home as part of a reduction of troops in Afghanistan.

Members of the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion of the 4th Infantry Division are scheduled to return to Fort Carson on Tuesday.

They deployed in June to work for the command responsible for security in southern Afghanistan. Afghan National Security Forces have taken over leadership of security operations so the 4th Infantry is adjusting the size of its presence there.
