Fort Carson Murder Suspect Wasn't At Victims' Home, Lawyer Says

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - Lawyers for Macyo January, the teenager charged in last year's murder of a Fort Carson soldier and his wife, told the court today their client wasn't even at the victims' home when they died.

Prosecutors say January was ransacking the home when Staff Sgt. David Dunlap and Whitney Butler walked in on them.

They say he shot and killed them.

On Wednesday, his lawyers told jurors January found the bodies after the real killer left the scene.

Some witnesses initially identified a different person as the burglar.
