Former Teacher's Aide Sentenced For Sex Assault

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — A 26-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting two teenagers while he was a teacher's aide at a private Christian school in Greeley has been sentenced to six years to life in prison.

The Weld County District Attorney's Office says Michael Josef Willits was sentenced Wednesday for assaulting two girls — ages 14 and 15. He pleaded guilty to sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.

Prosecutors say one of the assaults happened when Willits offered to pray with a young girl following a family tragedy, and the other happened during private guitar lessons at the second girl's home.
