Former High-Ranking Finance Executive At DIA Withdraws Appeal Of Termination

DENVER (CBS4) - CBS4 has learned that Laura Trujillo, a high-ranking finance executive at Denver International Airport who was fired last month, has now withdrawn her appeal of that termination.

Trujillo was fired after city authorities say they discovered she had falsified her academic and financial qualifications, including saying she was a CPA and had a college degree in finance. Both were not supported by academic and other records although Trujillo disputed the city findings.

Trujillo's attorney, Leonard Martinez, said dropping the termination appeal was "strategy for federal EEOC claim, not uncommon."
