Former Councilman Accused Of Jail Cell Rampage Pleads Guilty

SNOWMASS VILLAGE, Colo. (CBS4) - A former councilman accused of damaging a jail cell in Snowmass Village has pleaded guilty to DUI and misdemeanor criminal mischief charges.

Former Snowmass Village Councilman Chris Jacobson was arrested in June for drunk driving. Jail surveillance video showed Jacobson busting out of a restraining chair and tearing apart the cell's wall and wiring. He also urinated on the floor.

Deputies say he caused nearly $15,000 in damage.

Jacobson will be sentenced on Jan. 11.
