Former Colorado U.S. Rep. Bob Beauprez Considered By Trump

DENVER (CBS4) - One of President-elect Donald Trump's appointments could elevate a former Republican congressman from Colorado.
CBS4's partners at KOA NewsRadio report Bob Beauprez told ColoradoPolitics.com that he's being considered for the Secretary of the Interior position. The interior transition team is being led by David Longly Bernhardt, a native of Rifle, Colorado.
Beauprez represented Colorado's 7th Congressional District from 2003-2007.
The cabinet position oversees many issues critical to Colorado and the West. There are at least a dozen other names that are being reportedly being considered.
A timeline for the hire is unknown.
