Forest Service: Beaver Creek Fire Is Human-Caused

WALDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - The Beaver Creek Fire was human-caused, according to the U.S. Forest Service.

Crews have the Beaver Creek Fire burning near the Colorado-Wyoming border more than 50 percent contained. The fire has destroyed a cabin and several outbuildings since it started June 19.

The Forest Service said the fire was caused by humans and investigators continue to work to track down leads.

The fire has destroyed more than 37,000 acres. Full containment isn't expected until October.
