Forest Service: Beaver Creek Fire Could Burn Until October

WALDEN, Colo. (CBS4)- The Forest Service says the Beaver Creek Fire burning in Northern Colorado near the Wyoming state line may not be under control until mid-October.

The fire has burned more than 13,000 acres since it started June 19. What sparked the fire remains under investigation.

Fire crews continue to work to protect the five dozen threatened structures in the area. Cloudy and cool conditions slowed the spread of the fire overnight.
