Flooding Keeps Roads Closed In Weld County
GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - The Poudre River and South Platte River are running high and are expected to cause flooding in northeastern Colorado through the week.
About a dozen roads in Weld County were closed Wednesday because of new flooding and flooding from previous days.
The Greeley Tribune reports that 5 inches of rain have fallen in Greeley so far this month, much more than the normal amount of about 1.5 inches.

In southern Colorado, the Arkansas River is also flowing high because of all the recent rain.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for both regions. Water levels will rise slowly in and flash flooding isn't expected.
