Flooding In Pueblo, Mudslide Near Salida

CANON CITY, Colo. (CBS4) - Severe weather hit southern Colorado over the weekend causing flooding in Pueblo and a mudslide near Salida.

In Pueblo heavy rain flooded streets and made for dangerous driving conditions. One driver tried to make his way through some deep water but began to float away. Other drivers were able to pull the man and his car to safety.

Flooding and a mudslide shut down Highway 50 near Salida on Sunday. Colorado State Patrol out of Canon City tweeted some pictures of the slide. It took crews about 3 hours to clean up.
