Flashing Stop Sign Installed At Highway 14 Intersection With Fatal History

WELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Crews have put a new flashing stop sign at an intersection where a pregnant mother and her daughter were killed last week.

In the past 5 years there have been eight crashes at Highway 14 and Weld County Road 31 near Ault. Now there is a flashing stop sign in place.

Brandy Yates, 34, and her daughter Paradise, 9, died when their pickup collided with a semi hauling logs.

Yates' long-time boyfriend and Paradise's father, Devin Robbins, was seriously injured in the crash.

The Colorado State Patrol says there will not be any charges in the crash.
