'Flag Guys' Waving Tradition Continues After 9/11

DENVER (CBS4)- "The Flag Guys" were displaying their flags and waving to commuters early Friday morning in a tradition that began after 9/11.

Chris Tucker and The Flag Guys were on the Union overpass on Interstate 25 in the Tech Center on Friday.

Tucker started the tradition after the 9/11 attacks but now the group gathers for every patriotic holiday. Tucker can be seen around the Denver metro area on holidays like Memorial Day, the 4th of July and Labor Day.

On The Flag Guys Facebook page, it states the event is open to anyone who would like to support America: "It is time that this Country stand together. I do not care about your politics I do not care what race or color. All I care is we are AMERICANs and we took one on the chin. It is time for us to STAND and be ONE!"
