Firefighters Use Cemetery Sprinklers To Fight Grass Fires

BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters responded to multiple small grass fires that broke out along Highway 85 in Brighton Monday afternoon.

The fires were burning in a strip of grass right along U.S. 85 near Bromley Lane.

Firefighters could be seen using sprinklers that were spraying at a nearby cemetery to help fight the fires.

Southbound U.S. 85 had to be closed at Bromley Lane while crews battled the fires. Northbound lanes remained open.

No structures were threatened.
