Volunteer Firefighters Save Injured Hiker In Maroon Bells Wilderness

PITKIN COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Search and rescue teams responded to the Maroon Bells Wilderness Area on Saturday. A woman fell on the trail to Crater Lake and hurt her ankle.

Pitkin County Sheriff's deputies responded, and six firefighters from the Aspen Volunteer Fire Department rescued the woman.

The Sheriff's Office reminds hikers about difficult trails due to the icy and snowy conditions.
