Firefighters Rescue Man Trapped In Deep Trench For 45 Minutes

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A worker was rescued from deep inside a construction trench Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters worked to free man buried up to his waist in dirt near The Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs. He was trapped for approximately 45 minutes.

Firefighters say the man will be fine and lessons were learned about safeguarding a worksite.

"I think he'll be just fine," a firefighter told KKTV in Colorado Springs. 'Some lessons were learned from this."
