Firefighters Rescue Dog From Water Access Line

DENVER (CBS4) - Firefighters had to act fast to save a dog that fell down a water access line.

The dog went into the hole, which is approximately five-feet-deep, in the area of 8th Avenue and Lipan Street in Denver.

Despite its owners trying, they weren't able to get him out.

Denver Firefighters responded and were able to reach the pooch, though, and pull him to safety.

"All in a day's work during the 'dog' days of summer!" Denver Fire tweeted.

Denver Fire Department spokesperson Melissa Taylor said that they are not sure why the cap wasn't on the line, but it has since been covered.

The dog is now safe and back with his family.
