Firefighters Battle House Fire In Nederland

NEDERLAND, Colo. (CBS4) - A house fire in Nederland Monday afternoon kept firefighters busy trying to keep it from spreading to nearby trees.

The fire broke out at a home on Alpine Drive just south of Barker Reservoir.

Copter4 captured video of smoke billowing from the roof. Copter4 also captured video of a medical helicopter not far from the scene, although it's not clear if there were any injuries.

Firefighters kept the flames from spreading to trees where the fire could really take off in the area near the Cold Springs Fire that destroyed several homes.
