Fire Breaks Out At Wheat Ridge Residence

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) - No one was injured after a fire broke out in Wheat Ridge on Friday morning. Arvada Fire and West Metro Fire responded to a fire at a residence in the 4500 block of Everett Street.

The fire is out, but the road was partially blocked while firefighters dealt with the aftermath.

Arvada firefighters say no one was injured and that the unit where the fire started was not occupied.

Investigators said the unit was not occupied because it was being renovated. The fire was ruled accidental due to smoldering pipes which caught the insulation on fire. The fire then spread into the attic.
