BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4) - A Brighton family is displaced after a fire tore through their home while they were inside.

The fire started around 5 p.m. Sunday near 136th Avenue and Yosemite Street.

"Crews got the call from neighbors, actually multiple reports, saying they saw smoke and flames from the house," said Brighton Fire Public Information Officer Natalie Ridderbos.

"Crews found lots of smoke, and realized it was a double wide trailer that was completely engulfed," Ridderbos said.

The family was too shaken up to talk on camera, but tells CBS4 they believe the fire started on their back porch.

Brighton Fire says the home is a complete loss.

The cause of fire is still under investigation.
