Fire Departments Join Forces For Ice Rescue Training In Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters from Boulder, Lafayette and Louisville joined forces for ice rescue training last week.

Rocky Mountain Fire District, Louisville Fire Protection District and the Lafayette Fire Department participated in the ice rescue training at Harper Lake in Louisville last Wednesday.

Firefighters on both ambulances and engines from all three departments practiced rescuing fellow firefighters from holes in the ice. They also practiced self-rescue techniques while wearing specialized suits protecting them from water and cold.
