Fire That Damaged 4 Apartments Under Investigation

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - A fire damaged four apartments in north Boulder overnight.

The fire started late Wednesday in the 1100 block of Poplar Avenue near Broadway. A Boulder police officer noticed the smoke and saw flames when he got to the scene.

Authorities then helped residents evacuate. Many weren't aware that the building was on fire.

No one was hurt, and it's not clear how badly the apartments were damaged. The building consists of six units.

The American Red Cross is helping the families affected by the fire.
