'Fill The Mayflower' And Help Out Military Members This Holiday

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Nonprofit Homefront Heroes, Buehler Mayflower, and Safeway hope to "fill the ship" with donations of non-perishable food items.

All proceeds go to support young enlisted military members and their families attached to Buckley Air Force Base. Cash can also be donated to purchase gift cards for turkeys and hams or other items.

"The 'ship' will be 'docked' at the Safeway at South Buckley Road and East Mississippi Avenue. Pilgrims will be in front of the store to encourage shoppers to buy a little extra," the organization said in a statement.

All donations are 100 percent tax deductible.
