FBI Uses Flash Bang Grenades At Home In Highlands Ranch

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4) -- An FBI investigation has rattled residents in a neighborhood in Highlands Ranch. Federal agents they used flash bang grenades at the home on Pearlwood Circle in the Firelight neighborhood. Officials with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said no shots were fired.

"As soon as I looked out I saw just a flash and another boom," said Kimberly Aldrette, a neighbor. "We were like, what's going on and then all of a sudden we heard the intercom telling neighbors, 'everybody stay inside their homes.'"

CBS4 reporter Conor McCue spoke to the man who manages the property. He said agents told him they were looking for "large sums of money" but didn't find any and no arrests were made. The property manager said the tenant is back in the home.

The FBI would only confirm they were doing an investigation with help from the sheriff's office. They could not confirm whether anyone had been taken into custody.
