Father, Son Arrested In Scooter Hit & Run

DENVER (CBS4)- Police have arrested a father and son in a hit-and-run that left a scooter rider seriously injured.

Amber Pennington was stopped at a red light near 66th Avenue and Federal Boulevard July 1 when a car slammed into her scooter from behind. The impact sent her flying to the side of the road.

Police followed tips and lead and eventually arrested Spencer Rauch, 27.

Officers also arrested his father, James Rauch, for allegedly helping his son cover up the crime.

Pennington suffered serious injuries, including multiple pelvic fractures, broken ribs, and a broken nose.
