Family Of Dispensary Guard Killed In Attempted Robbery Asks For Answers

By Andrea Flores

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - It's been one month since former Marine Travis Mason was shot and killed at Green Heart Dispensary in Aurora.

At a vigil Sunday night, his family prayed for answers as they remembered the husband and father of three.

Mason had worked as a security guard at the dispensary for only two weeks when he was killed by two men attempting to rob the store back in June.

Those men are still on the loose.

"The two men who did this to my brother need to be caught, they need to pay for what they did," said Mason's brother, Cody Luna.

As Mason's family continues to mourn, they hope a $12,000 reward will encourage someone with information to come forward.

"I know justice will be served eventually, I'll just be patient and keep praying," said his wife, Samantha Mason.

Anyone with information is asked to call Aurora police.
